This is my first tattoo, a rib piece that I got done by Eric Kaplan at Voodoo Monkey in Cleveland, Ohio. It was inspired by a photograph by Richard Avedon called “Dovima With Elephants.” In about three weeks, I’m getting text on the side that will say “never forget.” To me, this is about forgetting the bad things that have happened in my life and to humanity in general. I chose this picture because elephants actually don’t ever forget anything and it is one of their greatest strengths.
